Privacy Policy

Last updated: 19 October 2026

This is the personal portfolio website of Krzysztof, a chef in London. This page explains what personal data the site collects, why, and what your rights are under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

Who is responsible for your data

The site is run by Krzysztof (Stołówka), London, United Kingdom. For any question about your data, write to hello@stolowka.co.uk.

What data I collect and why

  • Contact form. When you send a message, I receive your name, email address and the message itself. I use them only to reply to you and to continue the conversation you started. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in answering messages sent to me (or taking steps at your request before working together). Messages are delivered by email to my mailbox; the website itself does not keep a database of form entries.
  • Security logs. To protect the site from attacks, the Wordfence security plugin records technical data such as IP addresses and browser details of visits and blocked requests. Wordfence (Defiant Inc., USA) may receive IP addresses of suspicious traffic to identify threats. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in keeping the site secure.
  • Server logs. My hosting provider, Hostinger, keeps standard server logs (IP address, time, page requested) for security and technical operation.

I do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools, I do not sell your data and I do not use it for marketing.

Cookies

The site uses one cookie for visitors: pll_language, which remembers whether you are viewing the English or Polish version (kept for up to one year). It is strictly necessary for the language switch to work, so no consent banner is needed. If you log in to the site admin, WordPress sets its own login cookies. There are no analytics or advertising cookies.

How long I keep it

Contact messages are kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up, and are deleted when no longer needed, normally within two years. Security and server logs are kept for a short period set by the tools that create them.

Who else processes the data

Hostinger (website hosting and email), Wordfence/Defiant (site security). Some of these providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, they rely on safeguards recognised under UK law.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict its use, and to data portability. Write to hello@stolowka.co.uk and I will reply within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date.
